Why FCI is a Great Career for Agriculture Graduates

Job Security

FCI is a Central Government PSU — permanent employment with full government job security under CCS (Conduct) Rules.

Relevant Work

Unlike banking (IBPS AFO) where work is primarily lending/finance, FCI Technical work directly uses your agriculture knowledge — grain quality, pest management, crop science.

Work-Life Balance

FCI is consistently rated among the best government organizations for work-life balance. Fixed hours, no sales targets, no customer pressure.

Massive Vacancies

With 27,000+ expected AG-III vacancies, the competition per seat is lower than IBPS AFO (300-600 vacancies) or NABARD Grade A (150-200 vacancies).

No Interview

Category III selection is purely exam-based. No subjective evaluation means your hard work directly determines your selection.

Government Perks

Subsidized food grains, government housing at depot postings, medical benefits, LTC, PF, pension, and performance bonuses.
