About the Exam

The candidates will be at liberty to communicate in Hindi or English during the Interview for SMS (T-6)/ STO (T-6).

The salary of a SMS is in the Pay Band – 3 of ₹ 15,600 – 39,100 with GP of ₹ 5400 (revised Pay Level 10 - ₹ 56,100 – 1,77,500 of the 7th CPC).
The basic pay is Rs. 56,100.
The next componenet is Dareness Allowance (DA) which is 42% (w.e.f. January 2023) of Basic Pay i.e. with basic pay it becomes ₹ 79,662.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) @9/18/27 % of Basic pay, depending upon the palce of posting (Rural or Urban or Metro). That is for metro it is ₹ 15,147.
Transport Allowance (ТА) is ₹ 7200.
DA on Transport Allowance (TA) is 28% of TA i.e. ₹ 2016.
The Final salary becomes ₹ 1,04,025.
Similary for rural posting it becomes ₹ 93,927 & for Urban area is ₹ 98,976.
Net in Hand Salary: Total Salary – Deductions
Deductions: 10% for NPS, with other taxes if applicable.
