NFL Exam Pattern and Selection Process (2026)

Role-wise NFL 2026 exam pattern: OMR structure, interview applicability, final merit logic, and tie-break rules.

Pattern Split: Advt. 01 vs Advt. 02

A) Advt. 01 (NFL)/2026 — Management Trainee

Selection stages from official ad:

  1. Offline OMR Based Examination
  2. Personal Interview
  3. Final merit based on weighted score

OMR test format:

  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Total questions: 150 (1 mark each)
  • Split: 100 discipline questions + 50 aptitude questions
  • Aptitude part includes General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Knowledge/Awareness
  • Medium: Hindi and English
  • Negative marking: No negative marking

Interview and final weightage:

  • Interview shortlisting: tentative 1:5 (5 candidates for 1 post)
  • Final weightage: OMR 80% + Interview 20%
  • Minimum qualifying standard: candidate must qualify OMR and then qualify interview, with minimum average criteria as specified in the advertisement.

B) Advt. 02 (NFL)/2026 — Field Representative (NDSC Center In charge)

Selection model from ad:

  1. Offline OMR Based Examination
  2. Final selection by OMR merit list (explicitly states no interview for this Group C non-executive post)
  3. NFL reserves right to conduct Skill (Trade) Test for shortlisting if required

OMR structure in this ad:

  • 150 questions, 120 minutes
  • 100 domain + 50 aptitude
  • No negative marking
  • Minimum qualifying marks in OMR for empanelment: 75/150 (50%) as stated in the advertisement.

Tie-break rule (Both ads)

If two or more candidates score equal marks, tie is resolved by:

  1. Higher percentage in qualifying minimum educational qualification
  2. If still tied, earlier date of birth (older candidate senior in merit)
