What This Means for Preparation

The exam is not a general Rajasthan paper with a few food science questions added. The concerned subject alone carries 110 out of 150 marks, so most of your study time should go there.

Smart Weightage Reading

Zone Weight How to treat it
Rajasthan GK 26.7% Protect easy marks with factual revision
Concerned Subject 73.3% Main rank-deciding section

Important Official Rules in Plain Language

  1. There is only one paper, not separate papers on different days.
  2. Every question carries 1 mark because the paper has 150 questions for 150 marks.
  3. If you mark the wrong option, one-third mark is deducted.
  4. If you mark multiple answers, that is also treated as a wrong answer.

Best Attempt Strategy

Most serious aspirants should prepare with this order in mind:

  1. Build the food safety and food science core first.
  2. Add law, standards, microbiology, contaminants, public health and inspection logic.
  3. Then protect Rajasthan GK marks with compact state revision.
  4. Practice with one-third negative marking discipline from the beginning.

Common Mistake

The biggest mistake is underestimating the concerned subject and treating the paper like a generic Rajasthan technical exam. The official split shows clearly that this is mainly a domain exam with a Rajasthan GK layer, not the other way around.
