Language Selection

Guide to choosing English or Hindi language paper in IBPS RRB SO Agriculture Officer Scale II.

IBPS RRB SO Agriculture Officer Scale-II gives candidates a choice in the language section. In the single online exam, you must attempt either English Language or Hindi Language. You do not have to attempt both.

Official Rule

Option Medium Questions Marks Time
English Language English 40 20 30 min
Hindi Language Hindi 40 20 30 min

Both papers carry the same weight. The better choice is the one where you can score with more accuracy and less mental pressure.

Simple Recommendation

Choose Hindi Language if you are more comfortable reading, understanding and solving questions in Hindi.

Choose English Language if you can solve English questions faster and with better accuracy.

Do not choose English only because it feels more professional. Do not choose Hindi only because it feels easier without practice. In a timed banking exam, comfort, accuracy and consistency matter more than ego.

How To Decide

Use this test before filling the form:

Check Choose Hindi if... Choose English if...
Reading speed You understand Hindi passages faster You understand English passages faster
Grammar accuracy Hindi grammar errors are easier for you to spot English grammar errors are easier for you to spot
Vocabulary Hindi synonyms, antonyms and muhavare feel familiar English vocabulary and idioms feel familiar
Mock score Hindi gives a steadier score English gives a steadier score
Exam confidence Hindi reduces hesitation English reduces hesitation

If both feel equal, take two short section tests in each language and compare accuracy. Pick the language where your wrong answers are fewer.

Why Comfort Matters

The language section has 40 questions for 20 marks. Each question has low individual weight, so careless errors hurt. A candidate who attempts fewer questions with high accuracy can outperform a candidate who attempts many questions with weak control.

Your goal is not to prove language superiority. Your goal is to protect marks.

AgriDots Support

AgriDots provides preparation support for both language choices:

If you choose AgriDots helps with
English Reading comprehension, error spotting, cloze test, sentence correction, vocabulary and exam-style practice
Hindi Gadyansh, vakya sudhar, shuddh-ashuddh, paryayvachi-vilom, muhavare and grammar practice

So choose based on your scoring comfort, not on course availability. We support both paths.

Common Mistakes

  • selecting English despite weak comprehension
  • selecting Hindi without practicing grammar and vocabulary
  • changing the language choice at the last moment
  • ignoring the language section because it has only 20 marks
  • practicing only agriculture and finance, then losing easy marks in language

Final Advice

If your schooling, reading habit and mock-test accuracy are stronger in Hindi, select Hindi Language.

If your reading speed, grammar and vocabulary are stronger in English, select English Language.

The right language is the one that gives you a calm, accurate and repeatable score.
