PM Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) stands for "Scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro Processing Clusters". It is a Central Sector Scheme under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) aimed at creating modern infrastructure for India's food processing sector.
The scheme was launched on 19th May 2017 and has been extended for the 15th Finance Commission cycle (2021-22 to 2025-26) with a revised outlay of ₹6,520 crore.

- Reduce agricultural wastage through better processing and preservation
- Increase value addition to agricultural produce
- Enhance farmer income by improving market access
- Generate employment especially in rural areas
- Boost exports of processed foods
Component Schemes Under PMKSY
PMKSY is an umbrella scheme with multiple components:

Note (15th FC Cycle): Some components like Mega Food Parks, Creation of Backward & Forward Linkages have been discontinued in the 15th FC cycle, with provisions only for committed liabilities from earlier sanctions.
Grant-in-Aid Structure
The government provides capital grants as a percentage of eligible project cost:

To qualify as an Agro Processing Cluster, projects must meet minimum criteria:
