Introduction

Uttar Pradesh is the largest fruit and vegetable producing state in India. The state's diverse agro-climatic conditions support cultivation of tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate horticultural crops. Mango and potato are the flagship products, but guava, amla, banana, and a wide range of vegetables also thrive across the state.


Mango — King of Fruits, Crown of UP

UP is the #1 mango-producing state in India, contributing approximately 23-25% of the national output.

UP exports mangoes to the Middle East, Europe, and USA. The irradiation facility at Lucknow helps meet phytosanitary requirements for international shipments.
