🌎Important Days & Weeks in Agriculture

National and International days related to agriculture, environment, food security, and allied sectors — dates, themes, and exam-relevant facts

Every year on 23rd December, India celebrates Kisan Divas to honour former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh — a leader who fought for the rights of small and marginal farmers. Just like this day, there are dozens of national and international observances that highlight critical issues in agriculture, food security, and sustainability. Knowing these days is essential for competitive exams like IBPS AFO, NABARD, and FCI.

TIP

For exam preparation, focus on memorizing the date, the establishing body (UN/FAO/ICAR etc.), and any key person or treaty associated with each day.
